The Walking Dead will not be returning until February. In it's last episode, which was aired in December 2012, Daryl Dixon was taken prisoner at Woodbury town by the Governor and his gang. Now, if you are an avid fan of Daryl Dixon, the mid-season hiatus that the TV show is on right now would have caused you some stress. We all don't want to see our favorite crossbow wielding redneck die on the hands of the Governor. We all know how cruel that nutcase is. Imagine killing innocent people so just he could feed your zombie niece Penny some fresh meat and keeping their decapitated heads on fist tanks as "trophy". That's equivalent to all the super-villains combined, right?
If you have seen the trailer AMC on the end of episode 8, you might have found some clue there. In a very tiny portion of that trailer shows Daryl Dixon being taken back to the prison by his captors. In a way, it relieves us with the burden of figuring out who dies between Merle and Daryl on their pit match. My guess is that Merle would give up his life for his brother. That's understandable, right? Yes, Merle is one big ass but he's loyal to his family. And Daryl is all the family he has left. Or, Merle or Andrea somehow would be able to convince the Governor that they need Daryl to get back on Rick Grimes and his group.
The question we really would like answered when The Walking Dead returns is if Daryl Dixon survive the seemingly unavoidable big battle between the survivors in prison (Rick Grimes group) and the Governor's group now that he's a hostage? I have high hopes on the producers of the show. They would not let Daryl die that easily. He's just too tough for that. But my hopes are just as good as my guess. And my guess is just as good as anyone else's.
